Good thoughts. Many applications of the principle. Politicians and the media take advantage of peoples’ discontent with their life situations and feed the beast of envy and entitlement.

I lived in Mexico for a year and Puerto Rico for a year when I was young. I feel that every American would benefit from living at least part of a year in a Third World country. (PR isn’t really Third World probably but they had 50% unemployment when I was there.)
