I believe in writing every day. It’s a way of life. But I also believe in a more important rule: “The right way is the way that works for you.”
I am an early riser. Some people take 2 hours to wake up in the morning. For anyone to say, “You should get up two hours before work and write while you’re fresh” is nonsense for this person.
Just because Hemingway wrote 500 good words a day means nothing. Jack London wrote a 1000. U.S. Grant, racing against time because of advancing cancer, wrote over 10,000 words in one day… longhand.
