I have been doing a lot of re-thinking about many things since I started applying Socratic thinking to my beliefs. I began looking at everything with this question: What if I’m wrong?

As a result, I have begun to question Democracy and have learned I am not alone. The parties pander to constituents with promises, but do we get the best results? There is a lot wrong with Democracy and James Madison very early in The American Experiment was already questioning whether our Democratic Republic was walking down the right path.

For a powerful indictment of the shortcomings of Democracy you should read Henrik Ibsen’s An Enemy of the People.

Of greater concern to me is the escalating hatred and inability to have true dialogue where people can openly analyze and investigate and discuss all sides of an issue without people blowing a gasket.
