I was born in Cleveland and their tallest building at the time was the Terminal Tower. In fact, it was the tallest building in the world outside of New York for a while... and the tallest in the U.S. (outside NYC) till 1964, the year our family moved to New Jersey. What I recall was a newspaper story that the Terminal Tower was slowly sinking. When I read your poem and the story that generated it, I wondered how far Cleveland's skyscraper had sunk... and could not find any evidence that it had sunk at all. Was it only a dream?
Here's a little about the Cleveland skyscraper and its story. https://www.cleveland.com/insideout/2015/11/9_fun_facts_about_terminal_tower_photos.html
