In the movie Field Of Dreams the slogan “Build it and they will come” sounded cool and nice, but in this online world of frenetic uploading of content (500 hours of YouTube per minute alone, according to TubeFilter.com) the adage does not hold true.
The more accurate statement is “No one will come until you promote it.”
Everything else is good, but an important piece is to keep producing consistently high quality content. Optimizing headlines may increase one-time reads, but unless the content itself is helpful, meaningful or entertaining in some way, they won’t keep coming back for more.
