Thank you for affirming what I sought to express. It is not on my shelves either. My kin are from the same places, but the story is not written up to the standards that a classic should carry.

I find it depressing that people no longer no how to differentiate between quality writing and pop tripe. As long as publishers can make money off it, they feed the stream.
