The VietnamWar escalated excessively during LBJ’s reign. The antiwar movement directed its animus toward Dems in the ’68 Democratic Convention that produced the Chicago Seven. U.S. involvement in wars ran through both sides of the aisles. Dems were not the heroes who kept us out of wars. Even Obama escalated Afghanistan, and to what end?
