Wilde Observations #10

A tossed salad of poetry, art and ideas.

“I put all my genius into my life; I put only my talent into my works.”
— Oscar Wilde

Encore

One good turn
deserves another
they say.

The first beer was fine
and the follow-up wine…

The meal good, too,
followed by a few desserts,
each with the works.
Why not?

Now it’s time for an encore.
Whisky sours? Old fashions?
Manhattans? All three?

Pavarotti once gave 167 curtain calls.
Kind of like encores.

After 17 I was on my knees
hugging the bowl.
