Wilde Observations #11
A tossed salad of art, poetry and ideas.

‘Know thyself’ was written over the portal of the antique world.
Over the portal of the new world, ‘Be thyself’ shall be written.
— Oscar Wilde
Once Upon a Time
We remember dimly
the risen, red-rimmed orb,
flickering ever so tentative, trembling,
the torch of a New Humanity
striving upward
toward its appointed place.
Our wrinkled memories frail,
no finger-strength to hold
those magic moments
where, dream and vision conceived,
the seed was planted for all
we hoped and believed.
